Inter District Level Children Open Rapid Chess Tournament
Ashokanagar Yuvaka sangha (Regd), Ashokanagar, Mangalore on the occassion of 48th anniversary will organise a one day "Inter School Inter District ( D.K, Udupi, Chikkamagalur & Kasargod) Children Rapid Chess Tournament" on 28th December 2008 at Auditorium Hall, Ashokanagar Hr Pry School, Mangalore.
The event will comprise following categories: Under 9, Under 13 and Under 16 Boys and Girls. Age as on 01/01/2008 will be considered. Top 3 players in each category will be awarded. Players shall report at the venue by 9 a.m. of 28th december for registration.

Rapid Tournament in Moodbidri
Sri Dhavala College Old Students' Association, Moodbidri in association with Derik's Chess School will organise a one day " Moodbidri Zonal Level Open Rapid Chess Tournament" on 21st December 2008 at Auditorium, Sri Dhavala College, Moodbidri.
The Tournament will consist Under 8, Under 11, Under 15, Under 21 and Open sections. In open section cash prizes will be awarded to the winners. In age groups top 3 players will be awarded trophies and merit certificates. The Tournament is intended to popularize the game among the mass of Moodbidri talluk and to encourage upcoming local talents.
Interested players shall enroll on or before 20th December 2008.For
